How to watch ICTV
There are two ways to view content on ICTV, on Channel 601 on VAST (Viewer Access Satellite Television) and online at ICTV PLAY.
Channel 601 is ICTV's free-to-air satellite delivered narrowcast television station. In order to receive ICTV you will need a satellite dish installed as well as a VAST receiver (Viewer Access Satellite Television). You will also need an authorised VAST smartcard.
The federal government rolled out the direct-to-home satellite television services to most communities throughout remote Australia in 2013. So most households in remote communities and outstations should have capacity to receive ICTV.
If you live in an urban or regional centre, then chances are you won’t be able to receive ICTV, but you can watch ICTV on our video streaming platform called ICTV PLAY.
If you are watching ICTV you will notice that we don’t have an Electronic Programming Guide (EPG). You can find out what is playing on ICTV by looking at our TV Guide on this site.

For Registration and Activation of smartcards, please call 1300 993 376 weekdays from 9:00am to 4:30pm (AEST)
Some remote communities may also be able to view ICTV as a local retransmission.
Channel 601 is at the end of the channel list or the very beginning on your VAST receiver, depending on which way you move through programming. We suggest you Program Up, rather than down. This is the easiest way to get to us.
