I remember seeing Geoffrey Fletcher perform at Tamworth in January 2001, busking on the street. I bought his Album on Cassette at the time and talked a while with him about his music after his performance. A polite and humble man with a great talent to match. He said he'd often get up on stage with Buddy Williams many years ago when he passed through the Kimberley on tour. He then picked up his guitar and gave me an impromptu performance of an old Buddy Williams song "Wonder Valley", complete with yodelling and playing the original guitar runs Buddy used on the original recording. A personal performance from a great artist, something I won't forget. Thank you.
