Thank you for conserving a part of our war history.

My Uncle, Flight Lieutenant Keith Daniel was killed when two Hudson Bombers, A16-197 and A16-183 crashed on Milingimbi when taking off early in the morning of 20 April 1943. All the crew of both plane were killed and they were buried on Milingimbi. They were later buried at Adelaide River War Cemetery. I have seen photos of some of the wreckage and have a photo of the graves at Milingimbi.

I worked at Galiwinku from 1974 - 1976 but never had an opportunity to visit Milingimbi and explore the wreckage’s.

I hope one day I might have the opportunity to visit and see the work that ALPA are doing.
