Our WayAdded by Silvia Storchi
Description Gerry Turpin is the first formally trained Indigenous ethnobotanist in Australia. His job is to record and keep traditional Indigenous plants knowledge for future generations. He is off on a trip to Stratford, Central Queensland, to support traditional owner Suzanne Thompson walking on her Country.
Gerry manages the Tropical Indigenous Ethnobotany Centre in Cairns and has recently expanded his work overseas where he exchanges knowledge and discusses practices with indigenous custodians from other parts of the world.
