I have been using this resource since the mid 1990s in my secondary school classes. I still find that this video is such a powerful way to teach my students about colonization and its real impacts on real people.

Through studying it my students get a better understanding of different perspectives on the process of colonization. They better understand that history helps to explain why things are like they are today, and with have a better appreciation of how people think and feel. Looking at things like the destruction of sacred sites in the Pilbra and inadequate protection laws in Western Australia are more meaningful to students because they have a better understanding of the history. Such a useful resource!
