Our CultureAdded by Oz Outback
Description Djarragun College students from the Torres Strait islands perform traditional dances during the Townsville Cultural Fest. This is a mixed group of boys and girls from different islands. The dance is from Boigu Island, in the far north of the Torres Strait. The song is by Afa Anau and the dance is choreographed by Thomas Matthew. It is about going out by boat to an island called Warrulkawa (Turtle Island), going along the Papua New Guinea coast to Dauan Island.
