Description Indigenous Literacy Day (ILD was initiated by the Indigenous Literacy Foundation (ILF) 11 years ago. Since then it has grown to become a national celebration of First Nations Peoples' Stories, Cultures, and Languages.

The ILD National Digital Event is an opportunity for all Australians to joyfully celebrate the multilingual and multi-literacy of First Nations children and experience a snippet of life in remote Communities.

In collaboration with the Sydney Opera House, the Indigenous Literacy Foundation is proud to present a free 20-minute Indigenous Literacy Day National Digital Event, celebrating First Nations Peoples’ Stories, Cultures and Languages on Wednesday 7 September.
