I love this New Future Version of the Australian National Athem. Written by some Famous Black & White Australians. As a Aboriginal Person, I’d be proud to stand up for this Athem because it represents All Australians.
Kutcher Edwards sings it Beautifully. Well Done Everyone.
Beautiful.. Hand on my heart. I will stand for this anthem..
This is a beautiful reflection of what this country can become. Amazing words and great singing.
Wow! This is spot on. I love it, and would proudly sing because I want to, not because I have to.
I love this song. So representative of Indigenous culture and still just reworking what we already hold dear to our hearts.
Bless. This is beautiful and speaks of unity and peace. Yes, I would support this. Listen to the lyrics, hear the lyrics, feel the story. A story we all belong to. Xxx
Fantastic heartfull strong new words that resonate with everyone. I’m going to teach this to my son as we should all teach our kids, and in time these words will lead the way forward. Great effort. Very positive.
There some very good lines to this revised anthem but I still think it needs more development from a conceptual level and from a musical side It could have 3 part harmony, the meter and sentiment are similar to an anthem I wrote in 2017 which I`ve posted the lyrics on FB. The anthem I`ve written is titled Liberty's sunrise which is analogous to the indigenous flag and my design for a national flag which incorporates indigenous culture and Australian history. I would be interested in collaborating with ICTVPLAY to perhaps take this project to the next level. yours`s sincerely Arthur Hibbert.
I think its fantastic. Its inclusive and respectful and offends nobody. It denotes a deep love for our landscape and acknowldges the past, the present and the future. As a third generation Aussie I would be proud to sing this. What are we waiting for?
Now this I would be proud to sing.. where do I sign a petition for change?
This is so wonderful. Can someone please add a petition link to this website?
I like it - great change of words - I be never been a fan of the words advance Australia fair - it’s not a sentence that any of us use in today’s world - it is a Scottish saying to use the word fair - as it was originally penned by a Scotsman- let’s keep working on it - great start tho?
Judging by all the other comments, this song clearly reflects what Australians feel about their country today. It certainly reflects all of my views and values! It obviously needs to be our new National Anthem ...and hopefully it will be one huge step towards true reconciliation! (Next: move Australia Day date....)
This is what we should be singing, respectful, acknowledging and respectful.
Excellent. It is inclusive and honours our First Peoples.
This is perfect, it reflects what should be the true values of this country. I want this new updated, appropriate version to be our national anthem. I am a white female immigrant and would be proud to stand for our indigenous people. Thank you to all the artists who created this. We need a petition so the silent voices can stand and sing out...
Sounds good and fair, inclusive, respectful of this land and all people. Also including our incredible heritage that we should be so proud and supportive of. Well done folks
Good lyrics, same familiar tune. It’s time to recognise the deep cultural contributions by Indigenous and multicultural Australians.
I love these new words! They reflect our wonderful natural environment, our diverse community and our shared responsibility for the future. I would love a copy of the words.
Legend words with meaning, if my Aboriginal brothers and sisters are OK with this, who can complain?
This words of this beautiful anthem come from the heart, the expression of unity and love we Australians must truly feel for every one and for all beings of and in this sacred land.
Lets bring it on.
Thankyou thankyou thankyou?
How heart warming to hear such lyrics of unification- a beautiful represenation of the unification possible of not only Australians but humanity as a whole .
It would bring me joy to sing such words of wisdom and be part of such a healing vibration .
Thankyou ?
I think I will write these words up and have them ready for the next time I stand to sing the anthem, regardless.
Love it!
What are the next steps for promoting this and getting the current version scrapped and replaced with this?
I have been finding it hard to sing all the words of our current anthem for some years. I would welcome a new version that recognises our first people and removes "we are young" and "those who come across the seas" [but don't come in a leaky boat] "we've boundless plains to share" [we might have but most prefer the crowded cities].
Our current version ignores the fact that it is not really truthful. It might have sounded warm and fuzzy when it was written but it does not reflect the true history of our land. The proposed version has a strong emphasis on unity which we must aspire to with our cultures of an ancient peoples, the post 1788 arrivals and newcomers to our lands.
from a 7th generation descendant of a convict.
Embraces all Australians, honors our indigenous people and those chosing Australia as their home. I'd love this as our National Anthem.
Embraces all Australians, honors our indigenous people and those chosing Australia as their home. I'd love this as our National Anthem. This comment says it all!! Couldn’t agree more. Would love this as our National Anthem
Bring it on........I'm on board with this inspiring version.
I want this to further grow our beautiful nation.
I love this new Anthem. Well done
These are truly wonderful lyrics. I hope that they can be implemented.
I heard this at a Night with Uncle Jack in Collingwood and Kutcher was there as one of the artist that night. We were asked to sing with him and we received a copy of the words it was a great night and it was very moving to sing this beautiful anthem
Regardless of what the words say there's no life in the music - you may as well be going to a funeral.
If the music doesn't make you want to listen then regardless of how good or bad the words are it'll still be rubbish.
Relevant. Inclusive and inspiring - these words are something I could stand behind in a way out modern anthem has never made me want to.
The lyrics are great but the music is still the terrible original. Yes, Advance Australia Fair was chosen by plebiscite but the only alternatives offered were God Save the Queen and Waltzing Matilda. The Seekers' We Are Australian' had not yet been written.
This made me cry with pride! Yes, I vote yes to this being our national anthem! Thank you.
Brilliant!!! Amazing!!! Wonderful!!! So unique!!! Well done!!! I would be so proud if this was our new national anthem!!!
This gave me goosebumps. Isn't that the way a national anthem should make you feel?
OMG that just made me cry
Absolutely loved it, where can I buy this either as a downloadable MP4 or CD.
This anthem I would gladly stand up for and sing. Well done.
This gave me a beautiful sense of peace
This is beautiful and covers everything that Australians would aspire too. It embraces all Australians. Love it.
I absolutely love this version so much more, as the relevance is hitting true to what we all want to strive for. Such a stunning reflection of what our Beautiful Country should stand for...... not the great divide as it is now.
Aboriginal people have so much beauty to share with us white Australians let us embrace the knowledge and come and stand together as one in this Amazing Reflection of the Land we all call home. Thank you for this beautiful version of our soon to be National Anthem.
