Mamu Kurtaji
Our WayAdded by PAW Media
Description The Warlpiri people have been in the central Australian desert for roughly 22,000 years and still retain much of their culture and practices. Mamu Kurtaji is a contemporary adaptation of a traditional Warlpiri monster story. The Kurtaji man punishes those who break cultural law. He can sing himself invisible and walks on emu feathers so he cannot be heard and leaves no tracks. It is said that if you see the Kurtaji, it is too late.
